About Me

I love to read, but as I mentioned earlier, I don't seem to get as much time to read what I want lately as I used to.  This could be for any number of reasons, but mainly because I'm very busy at the moment, and consequently very tired.

But I have managed to read some books lately.  These include:

The Beach by Alex Garland (the movie starring Leo DiCaprio is in production right now)
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (as recommended by my friend George)
The Fall Of The House Of Usher and Other Stories by Edgar Allen Poe (mainly because of The Simpsons)
Soho Black by Chris Fowler (very very strange indeed)
Ruthless.com by Tom Clancy (because I love airport trash fiction, especially Clancy)
Days by James Lovegrove (I loved the feel of the cover!)
Microserfs by Douglas Copland (geek humour at its best)

On my list of "Books I must read soon" are:

On The Road by Jack Kerouac
Now It's Time To Say Goodbye by Dale Peck
Mother Tongue: The English Language by Bill Bryson

Oh, and I love and adore Iain Banks, I have read all of his non Sci-Fi stuff apart from Song Of Stone.  I also really like William Gibson, the founder of the modern image of Cyberspace, Scott Heim, Michael Crichton and Nick Hornby.
