So, friends eh? And no, I don't mean Friends starring David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matt le Blanc, Lisa Kudrow and the other one! Ok, so there are people that I have known for a long time, like from school or Uni (I went to Napier University in Edinburgh). There's Chris (good Chris as opposed to evil Chris), Neil, Billy, Scott, Rab and co. But more recently, there are people who have become really good friends of mine over a short space of time. People like Tom, who I would honestly call my best friend. And George, who I met about the same time as Tom. I say about the same time as Tom, but although I had known Tom for years, it was only really last September that I got to know him properly. To Tom and George goes a great deal of love and affection. Then there are people that I met at Go West, the West Lothian gay mens group. People like Peter, Richard, Bernie, George, Johnathon, Campbell et al. Much respect goes to you all. More recently, Dave, a very good friend of mine. I met him through IRC, and we have gotten on so well lately it's spooky! Dave and I have spent so much time together in a short space of time it feels like I've known him much longer than a few weeks. And I'm getting to know some of Daves friends now too. Hello to Adam, Susan, Kate, Andrew, Dale, Beatie and Jo, and to his flatmates Sharon and Mike. And of course, much love to Damian and Alison, two ex-colleagues of mine who are really good friends to me, who have supported me over the past years, who have both shared things with me, who have been there for me when I needed it. Without you two, I wouldn't be where I am now. |
